FACILITIES CUSTODIAN / JANITOR
POSITION TYPE: Full Time or Part-Time (Afternoons, Evenings, Weekend Availability).
Applications are now being accepted. St. Benedict Church and School is seeking a reliable and hardworking Facilities Custodian / Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our parish and school campus. This individual plays an important role in supporting day-to-day operations, special events, and the lunch program through general cleaning, basic maintenance and facility upkeep.
Open facilities daily. Set up traffic cones Monday and remove Friday, end of day (school year).
Perform general cleaning as directed by supervisor or parish administrator, including emergency cleanup response, i.e. minor plumbing issues.
Collect and dispose of trash from all campus areas including residences, food pantry, gym, ball fields, playgrounds, outdoor learning areas.
Set up and breakdown of lunch tables; clean the lunch room and remove related waste. Assist with setup and takedown for parish and school events, both indoors and outdoors.
Maintain church plants, flowers, candles, and holy water as directed; manage candle inventory.
Change altar cloths in accordance with the liturgical calendar.
Clean and maintain church floors (sweeping, vacuuming, etc.) as needed.
Monitor cleaning supplies and coordinate ordering with the cleaning company and vendor.
REQUIREMENTS:
Black Seal license or willingness to obtain within 1 year.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to climb 10 ft. ladders, lift up to 25 lbs., and perform duties requiring walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Ability to follow directions; work independently or in a team environment. Basic carpentry or repair skills are a plus. Clear communication skills; comfortable in a school setting with staff, students, and parents.
SALARY:Full-Time Employees Eligible for health benefits, paid time off, and retirement savings. Part-Time Employees Eligible for paid time off and retirement plan participation.

Cafeteria AidePOSITION: Part-Time
Applications are now being accepted.St Benedict is seeking a reliable and caring Cafeteria Aide to support the daily lunch program.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist with light food preparation and refill food items in between lunch periods.
- Serve meals to students and staff.
- Support tasks related to snack sales.
- Collect trays and tidy the cafeteria between lunch periods.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:- High School Diploma
- Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of lunch service; lifting and bending required.

St. Benedict School currently has several openings for Lunch-Recess Aides. Responsibilities include supervising children during lunch time, maintaining a safe environment during recess, the ability to resolve minor problems as they arise, and following school safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to supervise children during lunch and recess
- Being on your feet for the duration of lunch and recess

Responsibilities include supervising children, homework help, maintaining a safe
environment during indoor and outdoor activities, the ability to resolve minor problems
as they arise, and following school safety protocols. This position is perfect for college
age students seeking careers in early education.QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to supervise children.
- Being on your feet for a period of time and circulating among an assigned group of students.
